The continuation of the Apartheid Legacy

accoding to §56 of the asylVfG (asylverfahrensGesetz) the freedom of
movement of people seeking asylum in the federal republic of germany is tobe
restricted until a decision is being taken on his/her case. unfortunately, those
decisions come after a very long time. the shortest period of waiting is 4
years. there are cases where the people (asylum seeker) have to wait up to 10
or 14 years. this treatment of the asylum has a similarity to the then
apartheid systhem in south afrika. we try in the text here to show the similarities
these two laws have.

A letter to the mayor
26. März 2002
according to §3 of the AsylbLG (Asylbewerber Leistungs Gesetz),
things (needs) like housing, food, heating, clothes, health, hygiene and
comodities in house hold "could" be provided by the social wellfare in forms of
vouchers or goods. but to our suprise, one of our activists who needed
coocking pots from the local super market (kaufland) has been told that he need a
permition from the social wellfare before he could buy them. this a letter he
addressed the mayor of the city of rathenow.
